About The Commission

In June 2021, the City of Los Angeles established the Reparations Advisory Commission, a blue-ribbon task force composed of leading voices in activism, academia, law, and racial justice — which will advise the City on a future reparations pilot program for a group of Black residents. In 2023, they launched a study on the Black Experience in Los Angeles. To tell us more about your Black experience in Los Angeles, take our survey.
