Commissioner Kartina VanderWoude is President of Los Angeles Trade Technical College, an institution at which three-fourths of students are first generation college students. A leader in higher and technical education and an advocate for economic and social mobility, Dr. VanderWoude previously served as vice president of academic affairs at Grossmont College in El Cajon and president of Contra Costa College.
