"We develop our communities as individuals, and as a whole, we are the faces of Los Angeles, mak- ing us all equal and one. The diverse color palette on this poster expresses diversity and indicates that we are all equal in value regardless of skin color. When we look carefully at our grammatical brackets, we see silhouettes of faces that reflect the people who live in Los Angeles and how we are all a part of the Los Angeles community. Brackets are used to provide major concept clarifications. “We are loved, we are wanted, we are one,” states the key message, emphasizing the need of being reminded that everyone belongs. The open arms and hospitality that our community will always have are symbolized by the space between the brackets. The vivid color palette and basic shapes of faces simply demonstrate that we all belong and that “LA is for everyone”." -- Ryan Lopez
