"This design speaks to the homeless community of Los Angeles, but is universal to other
community members as well. The lotus flower in the center represents the unhoused in that it survives the harsh conditions of its environment and still manages to blossom and bring beauty into the world. Floating leaves surrounding the flower form a subtle halo shape to reinforce the feeling of togetherness and belonging, while gently extending outward to invite the viewer to spread more positivity. The light blue background and the leaves’ text also suggest feelings of relatability and harmony as well." -- Roberto Alonso
