Pauline Dacayan Presentation

"'There’s a seat for everyone,' a welcoming phrase hoping to embrace all the identities within Los Angeles county. With the use of illustration, an LA hot dog, a street taco, a stick of Filipino barbecue, a spring roll and two pieces of sushi are depicted to show the diversity of Los Angeles. This is to promote inclusivity as everyone deserves a seat at the table. The two pairs of hands are black and brown to represent the largest ethnic group of Los Angeles being Hispanic (47.9%). As the plate comes toward you, it is inviting as 'I BELONG. YOU BELONG. WE BELONG.'" -- Pauline Dacayan
