Morgan Clark is the Vice Chair of the Transgender Advisory Council. Morgan is a transmasc non-binary individual who uses he/they pronouns. They are the Research, Evaluation and Development Manager at APAIT, a division of Special Service for Groups, Inc., where they work on grant proposals and develop programs to address ongoing disparities experienced by underserved LGBTQIA-2S communities in Southern California. As a Trans Advisory Council member, Morgan is dedicated to empowering the transgender, non-binary, two-spirited, intersex, and gender non-conforming community by addressing social, economic, systemic, political, and health inequities through advocacy, community collaboration, data collection, and research. 

Morgan was born in Alabama and grew up in the heart of the rural Georgia bible belt. With lack of non-binary/ transgender resources, role models, and protection, in 2017 upon completion of his bachelor’s degree, he decided to move to Los Angeles. In Los Angeles, Morgan completed their master’s degree in clinical psychology, providing mental health counseling to transitional aged LGBTQIA-2S youth, and those impacted by severe mental health concerns. In 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Morgan began working at SSG/APAIT, providing counseling and case management services at a transitional housing site for unhoused LGBTQIA-2S adults living with mental health concerns and/or substance use concerns. In 2022, Morgan transitioned into a behind the scenes role, working with SSG/APAIT’s development team to identify funding opportunities, design programs, and address disparities experienced by the LGBTQIA-2S community. With expertise in data analysis, program design, health issues, and a network of community partners, Morgan intends to use their platform to address barriers to equitable opportunities, resources, and care for sexual and gender minorities, with emphasis on
those experiencing intersectional systemic discrimination.
