"Having a sense of belonging or solidarity allows people to think about their unity with their community or country where they belong. Since LA is a place where various races exist, I want to emphasize a strong sense of solidarity and tell anyone that LA can belong to anyone and anyone can belong to LA. The letter S which is in the center, I put as road so that gives a solid bond and connection be- tween “solid” and “arity”. Also, delivers a stronger sense of solidarity between people too. Through negative space, I wanted to emphasize and show that LA has firm solidarity and LA connection. So, through my intention, I would strongly share the message 'I belong, you belong, and we belong here in LA.'" -- Heo Kim
