"This design is meant to remind us of the strength that comes from embracing our differences. Represented in the design, in a collage style, are the unique faces of individuals placed together in a display of unity, positioned in front of a library card and a map of Los Angeles, along with a superimposed cityscape, elements meant to represent the community. The people that make up the city of LA come from different backgrounds, cultures, and experiences, and these differences should be celebrated and embraced.
