Jessica Postigo was born in Philadelphia, PA but raised in the Basque Country in northern Spain where she began her professional career as a political journalist for a national newspaper. She moved on to work for the country’s top independent ad agency where she created award winning campaigns. Her lifelong passion for film making inspired her to move to Los Angeles where she began working in production. She went on to develop screenplays for various production companies which ultimately led her to writing them for major studios. She’s sold movies and TV shows to Warner Bros., Sony Pictures, MTV, Lifetime and ABC Studios. Jessica is on the Advisory Council of Common Sense Media and is a Commissioner on the City of Los Angeles Commission on the Status of Women, the focus of her work there has been Human Trafficking, Domestic Violence and female homelessness, among other issues.
