Mohammed Azad

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Mohammed strives towards making progressive change and equity building for his surrounding communities. Working for the City of Los Angeles since 2020, his passion for public service began as an intern for Mayor Garcetti’s Public Engagement team. He now serves as an Innovation Aide for Los Angeles City Controller Ron Galperin and a UCLA Policy Fellow for LA Civil Rights.

Mohammed is currently a 4th-year undergraduate student at UCLA, studying to get a Public Affairs B.A. with an emphasis in Public Policy and Urban Planning. In his free time, Mohammed enjoys working out (3x LA Marathon finisher!), traveling, writing food reviews, and creating short videos.
